Who we are

What we collect

• Enquiries and clients: your name, business, email address, phone number, project details and our correspondence, plus invoicing details if you book.
• Business outreach: work contact details of people at businesses that may need our services, such as name, role, company, business email address and phone number. We take these from public sources such as company websites, Companies House and professional networks.
• Website analytics: if you accept optional cookies, Microsoft Clarity records how the site is used, such as pages viewed, clicks, scrolling, device and browser type. If you decline, Clarity runs without cookies in a limited mode.
• Server logs: our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs, such as IP address and browser type, for security and reliability.

Why we use it

• To reply to enquiries, prepare quotes and deliver work, as steps towards or performance of a contract.
• To keep invoices and business records, as required by law.
• To contact businesses about services relevant to them, based on our legitimate interests. Every outreach email tells you how to opt out.
• To understand and improve the website, based on your consent.
• To keep the website secure, based on our legitimate interests.

Who we share it with

We never sell personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run the business, such as our email, hosting (Hostinger) and analytics (Microsoft Clarity, only with your consent) providers, and with accountants, insurers or authorities where required. Some providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, it is protected by UK adequacy regulations or approved contractual safeguards.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries that do not lead to work: up to 2 years.
• Client and invoicing records: 6 years after the end of the relevant tax year.
• Outreach contact details: until you opt out, or 2 years without a reply. If you opt out, we keep only your email address on a do-not-contact list so we never contact you again.

Cookies

We only set analytics cookies (Microsoft Clarity) after you click Accept. Your choice is saved in your browser so we do not ask on every page. You can change it at any time using Cookie settings in the website footer.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to how we use it, receive a copy of it, or withdraw consent. You can object to business outreach at any time and we will stop. Email contact@fpvcinelab.com and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
